Service hose with a manometer allows precise and safe refilling of the refrigerant, helping to maintain the proper performance of the car's air conditioning system. Manometer sets are essential equipment during diagnostics and servicing of air conditioning systems because they allow pressure control of the refrigerant and quick assessment of the system's condition. Thanks to the manometer readings, you can monitor both low and high pressure in the system, which facilitates proper refilling, servicing, and ongoing control of the air conditioning operation. Using the appropriate measuring tools increases work safety and helps maintain optimal cooling system efficiency.
Markings on the air conditioning manometer:
White color – indicates too low pressure in the system (below 25 psi).
In this case, the refrigerant should be refilled until the needle reaches the green range. It is recommended to start by using a sealant, and only then top up the gas.
Green color – indicates the correct operating range of the air conditioning (25–55 psi).
The system is working properly. If the needle falls back to the white area, the use of a sealant is recommended.
Red color – signals too high pressure in the system (above 55 psi).
In this case, the pressure in the system should be reduced according to the service procedure.
If your vehicle requires R1234yf gas, besides the hose, you will also need an R1234yf valve adapter. You can buy it here.
If your vehicle has only a high-pressure valve, you will probably also need an HP/LP adapter, which you can find here.
